Candles have consistently served as a significant source of inspiration in my life. The subtle glow of a flame, the soothing impact of fragrance, and the ability of scent to evoke meaningful memories have all fueled my interest. My journey began when I discovered a seasonal fragrance at a prominent personal care and home fragrance retailer. The scent instantly transported me back to a memorable family trip to Ireland—a dream that several family members had held for years before we finally realized it together, reconnecting with our Irish heritage.

Naturally, I purchased the candle for both my household and my husband’s parents. Presenting it to my mother-in-law evoked an emotional response; she was moved to tears of joy as the scent brought vivid memories to life. However, when she requested another candle, we were disappointed to find that the fragrance was no longer available due to its seasonal nature. Despite searching extensively for a similar product, my efforts proved unsuccessful.

This prompted me to develop my own candles, leading to extensive research, development, and testing. Throughout this process, I recognized a lack of hand-poured candle businesses in my community. This realization inspired the founding of Black Lab Candles, LLC—a company committed to delivering high-quality, customer-centric products. Our hand-poured candles are crafted in small batches, allowing us to offer unique scents outside the constraints of seasonal or mass-market availability.
